We are excited to begin design on a home in unincorporated King County.
Matthew grew up in North East Ohio, and developed an interest in design and
building at a young age. His grandmother suggested he should become an
architect, and her suggestion stuck.
He moved to Detroit, where he received his Masters of Architecture from the
University of Detroit Mercy. There, he paired his love of architecture and
craft with fabrication and industrial design. He designed and built
architectural concrete elements and furniture, and spent time as a metal
fabricator. Working with a design-build firm, he crafted sustainable
Matthew relocated to Seattle in 2012, where he designed education and civic
projects. Joining the team at Malboeuf Bowie brings a return to the
residential design-build projects that he loves.
In his free time, he enjoys the discipline of making, through mediums of
wood, metal, and concrete.
This Friday, Park Passive project designed by NK Architects, will join our Palatine Passive, in the International Passive House Days event, hosting open houses on Friday, the 13th, for interested parties to tour two of the city's most high performance homes.
Palatine Passive at 8713 Palatine Ave N will be open from 10am - 4pm, and Park Passive at 4211 E Lee Street will be open from 3pm - 5pm.
